Cheltenham based jeweller Martin & Co has been appointed as an Authorised Rolex Service Centre. With its own dedicated watchmakers’ room and two watchmakers, Martin & Co is well placed to take care of your Rolex whatever the age or model.
Exacting standards
The Rolex Service Procedure is as exacting as you would expect for a Rolex. The objective is to ensure that every timepiece leaving a Rolex workshop complies with its original function and aesthetic specifications.
Chronometric precision
After an initial assessment, the movement of the watch is removed from the case, and the bracelet detached. The movement is entirely dismantled and cleaned, with any parts showing wear replaced. It’s then reassembled and lubricated, and adjustments made to ensure the watch’s accuracy. Once the case is tested for water resistance, the movement is returned to the case and the watchmaker will measure its chronometric precision. The watch bracelet is also meticulously cleaned and refinished to restore its original lustre.
Fully tested
Finally, once the reassembly is complete, a further test will make sure the watch is performing as it should. It’s then returned to you in a protective pouch together with an international two-year Rolex service guarantee.
“It’s a demanding process,” says Bob, the senior watchmaker at Martin & Co, “but hugely satisfying and enjoyable to give these watches the care and attention they deserve. Using an Authorised Rolex Service Centre for your Rolex ensures your watch will be overhauled to the highest standards; helping to guarantee many more years of enjoyment and immaculate timekeeping.”
